Alex Steffen is an award-winning writer, speaker and foresight consultant. Over more than three decades in the field, he has: shared two TED Global talks on urban sustainability (with over 4 million views); co-founded "Worldchanging," the award-winning online magazine of the 2000s; edited the best-selling books, Worldchanging and Worldchanging 2.0, and authored Carbon Zero: Imagining Cities that Can Save the Planet. In 2017, he was named to Rolling Stone Magazine's "25 People Shaping the Future In Tech, Science, Medicine, Activism and More." His work and ideas have been featured in the New York Times Magazine, the New York Times, The Guardian, and on This American Life and PBS NewsHour.

Through his courses, classes, and private consultations, Alex helps people and institutions cut through the overwhelming complexity of planetary discontinuities to build successful, actionable climate strategies.
